Followed instructions, but it does not work at all. Uploading was not the issue. I am able to "activate" with the ACP. However, nothing even shows up in the ACP's Board Settings where I can set the icons. ODD!

I just tried it on my 1.4.13 sandbox using the default theme and I couldn't get it to work. I setup my icons, but when I viewed the forums, I got a blank page in return.

I also just tried on another 1.4.13 sandbox using the default theme and the forum shows, but the custom icons do not. I just get the regular icons.

no.. not working on X1.6 (default theme and Apart1)

- yes it do show in the: forum and post > the last option on the left.
- yes i see (forum icon) and (Add).
- i go to add > add a gif picture> submit>>
- here i see to messages
-1 green box: yes it was submitted.

and where should i do that?????

anyway i see the icon in the Post icons (in the CPanel only, i can do more than one).
BUT they don't show the forum :(

when i tried to delete multiple icons i saw this message:

well if the editor found a way to solve it,
he/she should know that i can simply add icons (made by my self) from the default Cpanel

somewhere in configuration, and then i will find the picture while i'm writing a new thread.

what i would prefer to have is to:
-1st you're plugin to work as-is.
-2nd to be able to let the "admin" choose a special icon as he wish for individual threads,
-i did that, but when i do it then everyone can.
- i can enable and disable the forum setteings, meaning:
- enable post icons to everyone >> new thread >> choose a post icon >> post >> then again disable......... works but not great :P

i hope there was something i missed about the allowing only the admin to do "post icons" for individual threads and not all of them..

It has alot of errors. All it seems like it does for me is replaces my on/off/offlock images. This mod does not even work..

Great Plugin.
But it has some bugs.

All you have to do is :
-Upload the plugin and activate it.
-See the number of each Forum (For example fid=2,fid=3)
-Go to images/your theme and create folders for each number (For example for fid=2 you must create a folder called "fid2")
-In those folder upload three images (one called on.gid,one called off.gif and one called offlock.gif.
Do that for every folder (fid2,fid3,fid4.....)

The plugin WORKS GREAT but you have to follow these instructions.

Works, but the customisation is messy and it screws up interface and appearance of the Admin CP and the forum itself.

Makes my forum extremly slow when activated. Therefore I wont use this.

BUT the problem is that I can only change the custom icons for one of my forums.

This icon is actually a .jpg file, not .gif, but trust me, even if I add a .gif file to my first forum (which is called My Forum), it doesnt work.

Great, I uploaded this on a friends forum that I'm helping him with.

Uploaded:

admin\modules\forum\cfi.php

and

inc\plugins\cfi.php

Now nothing works, not the admincp not the homepage
it comes up with error

this file/plugin seems suspicious.
it contains hidden files, which starts with a dot, (.DS_Store) in every dir.
and that file contains non-opensource, binary code.
I did not copy that file to server, and, plugin not working.

be aware of that hidden file.
you can show hidden files in filezilla or your file explorer, by some setting.

@ bvidinli: those are just macintosh system files. ignore or delete them. no reason to worry.

IT works but it messes the admin cp and interface of the forum

Would be cool if it didn't require icons to be in .gif format.

I strongly suggest dont use this plugin, not working + imposible to reverse changes automatically. Lost of forum icons

nothing but trash it installed but got error after error dont bother installing this
